David is a much sought-after speaker and travels all over the UK to give seminars on various aspects of pollution control and flood prevention.

A short extract from a magazine about one of his forthcoming talks
David has worked and lived in over 43 Countries, designing and supervising projects which improve the drinking water quality, or the reuse of waste water for irrigation. During his early days as a water and waste water treatment engineer he was seconded to the W.H.O. (World Health Organisation) and the Peace Keeping Forces in Beirut. When the American Forces moved to Goat Island on the Straits of Hormuz with the threat of Russian Forces reaching the Persian Gulf. David drove down from Saudi and commissioned the mobile desalination plants which produced drinking water for the troops. With increasing pressures on water resources and the ecology, the need to protect the environment and watercourses has never been more urgent. David promotes the use of reed beds for the treatment of domestic pollution whenever he can, having installed and designed over 940 such schemes. Reed beds are starting to be recognised as a cost effective solution to pollution control. Now based and living on the edge of Exmoor in the South West of England. David travels overseas extensively. He drives a Land Rover called Harry, has a dog named Zen and lives through the Tao. Easy spoken and with simple answers, his talk in Cambridge, England on March 6th should be interesting.
