Sewage Treatment Plants

There are several different types of treatment plant available, but David favours extended filtration or submerged media as this type of treatment does not have mechanical or electrical parts within the body of the treatment plant, making the servicing of the plant easier and cheaper. If you have an existing Septic Tank, if suitable, this can be incorporated into the new scheme, saving money, time and space. Before you decide on your sewage treatment scheme, make sure that you get advice from an expert. Good advice can save you time and money in the long term. If a package sewage treatment plant is the preferred option for your site there are two types available, brief information on both are given below, for more detailed information please contact David direct.

    Package Sewage Treatment Plants

Typically installed when the space is limited. Subject to inlet invert, the plant can be installed flush with the ground and be hidden or camouflaged. Package treatment plants cater for single dwellings to large developments, normally six full time residents to approx. 600. The Plant can be specifically designed and manufactured to cater for your site. A single phase electrical supply is required at the blower housing. The blower is the only mechanical/electrical component of the sewage treatment plant and this is located at ground level for easy access. When the blower housing is within a garden a bee hive can be used as the blower housing. Typically, the plant is installed and commissioned within two days. Large schemes may take a few days longer, but rest assured you won`t be left without drainage during the improvement works. With over 940 sewage treatment plants in the ground in the UK alone, David is a true expert in his field.

Design & Build Sewage Treatment Plants

These sewage treatment plants are actually constructed at site out of concrete blocks or engineering bricks. In the UK they are generally used on large schemes, over two hundred population, or where the development is phased and the developer wishes to reduce the initial capital outlay. The tankage can constructed for the whole development, but the internals installed as required. The DAB is ideal in overseas applications, as local materials and labour can be utilized reducing capital costs, whilst still being of benefit to the local economy. Whilst municipal sewage works have traditionally been constructed from concrete or blocks, David was the first to see the benefit of using this type of construction for much smaller works, especially for overseas projects. Why import expensive equipment when the same treatment plant can be constructed using local materials!

        Overseas Applications

Whether you have a construction site in the wilderness, or a village with potable water and sewage problems, David can design and project manage the scheme for you. Many years of working overseas means that David has a knack of understanding and anticipating the requirements of the site, paying more than lip service to environment considerations and sustainability, means that the correct type of treatment scheme will be installed, be it a DAB sewage treatment plant or a constructed wetland. The treated effluent can be used for irrigation or dust control and the organic waste dried and used as a fertilizer. Problems with potable water, no additional consultant required, David can also investigate the potable water problem, install suitable water treatment or project manage the installation of bore holes or wells.
