David Trump, Wastewater Engineer

David holds a plethora of national and international experience in the water and wastewater treatment sector. With 38 years experience David has worked for organisations including the WHO (World Health Organisation), Schlumberger, Philips Petroleum, Portals, Entec, BP, the National Trust and UK Peace Keeping Forces. David formed WCI Sewage Treatment Limited in 1983 which he now jointly runs with his daughter Naomi Taylor. WCI Ltd designs, supplies, installs and maintains all makes of sewage treatment systems including septic tanks, sewage treatment plants, soakaways and reed beds.

Sewage Treatment Plants

Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from wastewater by physical, chemical, and biological processes. Its objective is to produce a treated effluent that can be released into the environment.

Expert Witness

Expert witness statements can be used to support legal disputes or help clarify arbitration issues including incorrectly installed equipment or non operational installations resulting in environmental pollution or nuisance.

Foul Drainage Assessment

FDAs can be used to assess the quality of the existing treatment system on site in order to meet Planning, Environment Agency or Building Control requirements. The assessment can also support insurance or legal claims.

Reedbeds

A reed bed or constructed wetland is a natural form of domestic or industrial waste water treatment. Reed bed systems are an effective, sustainable and low maintenance method of sewage treatment.

Design and Supervision

Often money can be saved by using existing ground staff on site to install a new system. It is however very important that such installations are designed by a professional and the installation is supervised in order to meet all current legal regulations.

Rectification

Often an existing system can be rectified and upgraded to meet current legal standards saving you money. Reasons including incorrectly designed or installed plant, a lack of secondary treatment or an increase in daily flow.
